What to expect

Start of the Activity

The group meets early at our agency, where the equipment is checked, and a safety briefing with instructions is provided. Afterward, a transfer takes the group to the starting point of the ascent.

Approximately 1 hour, including preparation and transfer.
Ascent to Villarrica Volcano

The trek begins with a gradual ascent through volcanic and snowy trails, offering panoramic views of the region. As you progress, you will enjoy landscapes that include lakes, forests, and nearby volcanoes. The final ascent to the summit is a physical challenge, rewarded by the view of the volcano's active crater, where volcanic gases and magma can be observed depending on the activity.

Approximately 5-6 hours.
Descent and Return to Base

After enjoying the views and the experience at the summit, the descent begins along the same route. This segment allows you to appreciate the landscapes from a different perspective. Upon reaching the starting point, the group is transferred back to the agency.

Approximately 3-4 hours, including the return transfer.
