Flavors of Valparaíso: From the Fishing Cove to the Kitchen

New

A day of porteño flavors! We'll meet at Plaza Sotomayor in Valparaíso and take a train to Caleta Portales to buy the freshest ingredients of the day! Then, at the renovated Mercado Puerto, we'll find seasonal vegetables, lemons, and fruits. At a typical liquor store, we’ll pick out a Chilean wine to accompany our meal. Finally, we’ll head to a home on Cerro Santo Domingo, where a local family will teach us how to prepare delicious ceviche with pisco sour and churrascas. Enjoy an authentic culinary experience in Valparaíso! We’ll meet in Plaza Sotomayor, in front of the Valparaíso Fire Department headquarters. From there, we’ll take the local train to Caleta Portales, where we'll buy the essential ingredients for making delicious Chilean ceviche.
