Before launching into the adventure, we begin with a basic paddling skills practice on the banks of the Valdivia River to ensure you feel safe and confident on the water. Then we’ll begin our 8 km journey, exploring breathtaking landscapes while learning about Valdivia’s dynamic history — from its industrial rise to the 1960 earthquake and the region’s transformation.Along the route, you’ll be amazed by the birdlife of the Nature Sanctuary, home to black-necked swans, seven-colored tanagers, and many more species. Halfway through, we’ll stop on the banks of the Cruces River to enjoy freshly brewed coffee and a delicious snack.
