If you are into special interest tourism and particularly interested in the world of birds, this tour is for you.We will meet in the center of Pichilemu and head to the town of Cahuil, famous for the artisanal salt extraction that the salt workers have been carrying out since pre-Hispanic times, preserving their culture and ancestral techniques. We will explore the entire shore of the Nilahue estuary, and depending on the season, we will see different stages of this process, which takes several months, influenced by the seasons, the sun, the wind, and the tides.Throughout the tour, we will focus on bird watching, where we may (if we’re lucky) encounter over 100 different bird species, some resident and others migratory. We will also share information about the delicate ecosystem found in Cahuil and enjoy environmental education while taking in these beautiful, unique landscapes of Chile.
