The Parque Tantauco Ticket grants visitors one-day access to the Yaldad and Chaiguata sectors, where they can explore self-guided trails of low difficulty, observe native flora, fauna, and fungi, and enjoy scenic viewpoints, hanging bridges, and camping areas within the lush evergreen forest. All trails are well-marked and designed for independent exploration.

What to expect

Arrival at Tantauco Park

Visitors arrive at the Tantauco Park entrance in the Yaldad Lake sector, where they receive information about the trails and park regulations. It is important to note that the Chaiguata sector, with camping and domes, closes from May 1st and reopens in September, while the Yaldad sector remains open year-round for day visits.

Self-guided trail exploration

Visitors can explore the available trails in Yaldad and, if in season, in Chaiguata. They can walk at their own pace, enjoying wildlife and flora observation, viewpoints, hanging bridges, and rest areas.

Between 2 and 6 hours, depending on the chosen trails.
End of the activity and park exit

Visitors return to the entrance to complete their visit and exit the park. Each visitor is reminded to take their trash with them and respect the closing hours.

  • Animals are not allowed as they can transmit diseases to local wildlife
  • Making fire is prohibited, except in the Quelcun area (where grills are available, but charcoal must be brought)
  • Damaging nature, cutting trees, or scratching rocks is not allowed
  • Smoking inside the park is prohibited
