The tour begins with pick up at your accommodation in La Serena or Coquimbo (Casino Enjoy), as long as it is located along the route covering Avenida del Mar, Puertas del Mar sector, and La Serena downtown. For accommodations outside this area, a meeting point will be arranged.You’ll then travel to the Mamalluca Tourist Observatory, located on the hill of the same name in the heart of the Elqui Valley. There, you’ll be welcomed by the observatory staff and assigned to a specialized astronomical guide, who will deliver an educational talk and lead an open-air observation session lasting about one and a half hours.During this experience, you’ll be able to observe the sky using manual telescopes and the naked eye, under one of the clearest and cleanest skies in the world.The Mamalluca Observatory is a tourist-oriented facility whose purpose is to introduce astronomy to people of all ages in an engaging and accessible way.The tour ends with drop off at your accommodation in La Serena or at the Plaza de Armas in Vicuña, depending on your starting point.
