The Private Base Torres Trek is one of the most remarkable and demanding routes in Torres del Paine National Park, offering an unforgettable experience for those seeking to witness the iconic granite towers up close. This trail covers around 22 kilometers round trip, with an average duration of 8 to 10 hours depending on group pace and weather conditions. The journey begins at the Welcome Center in the Las Torres sector, where you’ll receive instructions and trekking equipment before starting the hike. The trail begins with a steep ascent through open terrain offering panoramic views of the Ascencio Valley and the surrounding mountains. After about two hours, you’ll reach the Chileno Refuge for a brief rest and a chance to have your packed lunch. The final stretch involves ascending the moraine — the most demanding section — before reaching the iconic viewpoint. From here, you’ll admire the three towering granite spires rising over 2,800 meters, reflected in an emerald lagoon at their base — one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Patagonia. After time to rest and take photos, you’ll begin the descent back to the Welcome Center, where transportation will be waiting to return you comfortably to your accommodation in Puerto Natales.
