Your adventure begins with a transfer from Puerto Varas towards Puerto Montt, taking the scenic Carretera Austral (Southern Highway). After approximately one hour, we will arrive at Lenca, the entrance to a world of biodiversity and lush landscapes.The trail follows a temperate rainforest, leading us alongside the Chaicas River to reach the impressive Chaicas Waterfall, surrounded by native vegetation. As we walk, we might spot some of the park’s emblematic wildlife, such as the Chilla fox, the kingfisher, and various native bird species.One of the highlights of this trek is reaching the ancient Alerce trees, some of which are over 3,000 years old, standing as living witnesses to history and conservation.After completing the trail and experiencing the park’s incredible biodiversity, we will return along the same path to the starting point and then head back to Puerto Varas.This experience is perfect for those looking to connect with nature, explore one of the world's oldest forests, and enjoy an accessible Patagonian trekking adventure.
