In the local Kunza dialect, it means "Mountain of the Rain," and it stands out as one of the highest peaks near San Pedro de Atacama with its nearly 6,000 meters above sea level. It is accessible via an old sulfur mine road that reaches the base at 5,600 meters. This mountain is located about 80 km from San Pedro de Atacama, and the journey to the base takes about 2 hours in a 4x4 vehicle.Once at the base, the ascent route follows the south face of the mountain up to the shoulder of Sairecabur. Afterward, the trail includes a 250-meter scree slope with a 52-degree incline, with no marked trail, where climbers use large rocks as steps.

The tour begins with a transfer from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama. This service is included as long as your accommodation is within the San Pedro area. If you are outside this zone, a nearby meeting point will be provided.
