Pillán Ski Center, formerly known as Ski Pucón, is located on the slopes of Volcán Villarrica, in the heart of the Araucanía Region. This center combines the adrenaline of snow sports with the beauty of southern Chile: views of the lake, native forest, and an active volcano as a backdrop. It offers slopes for all skill levels, chairlifts, equipment rental, and a privileged location within the Villarrica National Park. It's an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy skiing or snowboarding in a unique natural setting, with the option to complement the experience with hot springs, local gastronomy, and activities in Pucón or Villarrica.
The best time to visit Ski Center Pillan is between July and early September, when the snow reaches its best quality and the weather allows you to enjoy both the slopes and the landscapes of southern Chile.
In winter, the weather on Volcán Villarrica is cold and humid, with temperatures ranging from -2 °C to 7 °C. Snowfalls are abundant, but there are also cloudy or windy days. We recommend thermal, waterproof, and wind-resistant clothing, as well as sunglasses and sunscreen for clear days.
