The season in Portillo runs from late June to early September, with July and August being the months with the best snow quality. It's the perfect time to hit the slopes or simply enjoy the surroundings in one of Chile's most iconic winter landscapes.
In winter, the weather in Portillo is cold and dry, with temperatures ranging from -10 °C to 5 °C. Snowfalls are frequent, and clear skies offer incredible views of Laguna del Inca and the mountains. We recommend warm clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, and snow gear.
