What to expect

Pickup from accommodation and transfer to the horses

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Hanga Roa and take a scenic drive to the starting point of the horseback ride. Along the way, admire the island’s landscapes and immerse yourself in the magic of Rapa Nui.

Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and the horse that will accompany you on this adventure. Before departing, you’ll receive a safety briefing and useful tips to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable ride.

Ava Ranga Uka

We begin the journey by crossing the historic Ava Ranga Uka stream, an ancient irrigation system that once sustained the island’s crops. This area is a blend of history and nature, transporting you to the ancestral life of Rapa Nui.

Rano a Roi

We continue towards Rano a Roi, an inactive volcanic crater with a serene lagoon inside. It’s the perfect place to pause, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the tranquility of the island.

Maunga Terevaka
