At 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Putre and head towards one of the most amazing natural spots in northern Chile: the colorful mountains of Suriplaza.We will first pass by the impressive Taapacá volcano, whose summit reaches 5,860 meters in height. The route will continue towards the Colpita sector, and from there, we will head towards the spectacular Suriplaza mountains. The most peculiar feature of these peaks is their wide variety of reddish, ocher, and orange tones.During the journey through this area, we will try to spot its local wildlife. Among the main species are native animals of the Chilean highlands, such as vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. Do you know how these species survive the Andean climate? After discovering it, we will take a break for a picnic that includes sandwiches, nuts, chocolates, and natural juices.After regaining strength, we will continue discovering the landscapes around Suriplaza. In addition, we will visit some hamlets from the villages in this area of Chile, such as Cosapilla and Caquena. Later, we will visit the spectacular Secret Lagoons of Caciri, located at the foot of the Condoriri snow-capped mountains.Finally, we will make a brief stop in the village of Parinacota before heading back to Putre. Arrival at your hotel is expected between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
