What to expect

Pick-up from Accommodation - 08:00 AM

The day begins with pick-up from accommodations in Cochrane. The guide ensures all participants are ready and comfortable to start the journey.

Introduction and Day Briefing - 08:30 AM (maximum)

Upon arrival at the meeting point, the guide will provide a brief overview of the itinerary, logistical details, safety measures, and expectations for the day.

15 minutes.
Breakfast at the Calluqueo Glacier Viewpoint - 10:00 AM

We arrive at the Calluqueo Glacier viewpoint to enjoy a full breakfast with local products: artisanal bread, homemade jams, natural juices, freshly brewed coffee, mate, and scrambled eggs. The stunning landscape will be the perfect backdrop as we enjoy breakfast.

Approximately 1 hour.
Photography and Visit to the Glacier Lagoon - 11:00 AM

After breakfast, we will have a photography session with the guide, and if weather permits, capture aerial images with the drone. Then, we’ll head to the glacier lagoon for a guided walk and closer exploration of the area.

Return to Cochrane - 01:00 PM

We begin the return to Cochrane, sharing a final reflection on the experience and dropping participants off at their accommodations.

  • Layered clothing (thermal, waterproof, and windbreaker).
  • Comfortable, waterproof trekking boots.
  • Hat and gloves (depending on the season).
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen (in reusable containers).

Important information
  • No bathrooms at Calluqueo: The route to the Calluqueo Glacier does not have sanitary facilities. It is recommended to use the bathroom before departure, either early the same day or the day before. This helps prevent unnecessary waste in nature.
  • Waste management: During the tour, all waste must be carried back. A small bag will be provided to store toilet paper or other waste. Nothing should be left in the environment as part of our commitment to conservation.
