An excursion to one of the most important parks in the region for its protection of endemic flora and fauna. We will have the opportunity to explore several trails at our own pace, allowing us to peacefully contemplate the nature of this National Park and, of course, to observe the Hanging Glacier Ventisquero, the main attraction of this place. We will provide you with a unique experience full of knowledge about this area.

What to expect

Pick-up at your hotel within the urban area of Coyhaique

Villa Mañihuales

First stop at a local store and restrooms (does not include restroom fee).

Mirador Río Cisnes

Photo stop to admire the source of the Cisnes River with its turquoise waters from above.

El Cóndor Waterfall

A short trail that leads to a high-altitude waterfall through lush nature.

Queulat National Park

We will enjoy the park through different trails filled with nature in the evergreen forest. Each trail has a viewpoint to appreciate the Hanging Glacier Ventisquero. There is the possibility of navigating the Témpanos Lagoon (optional) and recognizing endemic species within the park.

Fiordo Queulat Viewpoint

Photo stop to admire the emergence of the Queulat fjord. Here, we will take the opportunity to explain this characteristic concept of the region.

Lago Las Torres National Reserve

We will appreciate Lago Las Torres on the return route. Here, a mirror effect is created between the water and its mountain range, and we will also be able to see Cerro Picacho from afar.

Important information
  • The trips to and from the park are long (approximately 4 hours each way). There is only one town with restrooms and commerce, which is Villa Mañihuales (midway). Therefore, we recommend that passengers take advantage of this stop for any necessary needs. There are restrooms available in the National Park.
  • On one of the trails in the National Park, there is an option to navigate the Témpanos Lagoon to get closer to the glacier. This navigation is not included in the excursion, so if the passenger wishes to do it, it must be paid for separately (it costs $15,000 per person and must be paid in cash).
